The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club has earned its reputation as a world-class destination for sailing events. With its rich racing history tied into Bermuda's own nautical one, the Club is well positioned to run racing events in Ocean, Fleet, Match Racing and Team Racing disciplines.

The bucket-list event, Newport Bermuda Race, is run biennially and finishes at the RBYC. The Club is also home to the 2nd oldest Match Racing trophy in the world (and oldest for one-design keelboats), the King Edward VII Gold Cup. World Championships for Women's and Open Match Racing, 5o5, IOD, Viper 640, Tornado and the International Moth have been organised and run, along with RC44 Bermuda Cup, 2017 AC SuperYacht and AC J Class regattas. As one Past Commodore mentioned recently,  "We run events well; it's what we do".
