Overseas Optimist Regattas 2012

Bermuda offers some of the finest sailing conditions in the World, your Optimist sailors practice hard all year round. RBYC Sailing Academy is keen to encourage you to give your sailors some Regatta experience overseas. This is not only a sailing experience it is also a life learning experience.

Please keep your diaries free for the following events we are keen to take RBYC Teams to:-

6^th – 9^th August           USODA New England Championships, Sail Newport, RI, USA,

                                   Racing for both Championship & Green Fleet.

                                    Championship Fleet - max.10 RBYC sailors

                           Confirmed attendees: Chase Cooper, Kieran Swann, George Buckley

11^th – 17^th August       IOCA UK National Championships, Pwllheli, Wales, UK

                                    Racing for both Championship and Green Fleet (Regatta Fleet)

Regatta Fleet has 1 instructor to 8 sailors provided.

Championship Fleet – max.10 RBYC Sailors

27^th – 30^th Dec           The Orange Bowl, Coral Reef YC, Coconut Grove, Miami, FL, USA

                                    Racing for both Championship & Green Fleet

                                    Tom to coach the RBYC Team in the Championship Fleet.

These events are suitable for Gold, Silver and Green/Silver Fleet sailors, some events have a minimum age requirement, these can be overruled after Coach recommendations. Tom is happy to answer your questions about these events and he awaits your notification of potential interest. Numbers will be limited, and done on a first come, first served basis.....
